One of my writing habits has always been that by the time one novel is well into being written, I have in mind at least some vague idea for a follow up. However, that had not been the case with writing the current novel. I had found myself with no real ideas of what I might write next.
Until yesterday, that is.
And I think that fact is worth a quick blog post. 🙂
What happened? Well, I posted that above to my Instagram Stories the other day. At some point afterward, while reading more of that unfinished F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, an idea for my next book hit me.
I am not saying more about that possible story for now. It is no more than an idea at this stage. I will say, though, that I think it is a decent one.
It will be at least a couple of years before it sees the light of publication day – if it ever does.
I hope the possibility of another novel well down the road would be a reason for you to stick around, too! LOL!
As I picture it in my mind, it will be a move away from my most recent three novels. Yet it will have certain aspects to it that will likely seem “familiar” to a reader… and especially a reader of my soon to be newest novel 😉
Vitally I have to decide if I will have another man for the main character… or… a… woman.
That now revealed to you on this December 29, 2021, I return to trying to finish that CURRENT novel above.
