We have returned to New York…
…having flown back here yesterday not long after a Wyoming breakfast:

Following Yellowstone, we had headed to the incredible Tetons:
“Awesome” in the REAL meaning of the word.

And we really roughed it: we stayed in a lakeside cabin for two nights that had ***NO WIFI***.😂
One afternoon there, I did my “Outdoor Man” impersonation.😂
After that, we drove for Jackson…

Before reaching the city, we stopped at Teton Village – the Jackson Hole ski resort. There, starting from the top of Rendezvous Mountain…
…after taking the tram up…

…we did a walk DOWN a couple of thousand feet on the Cirque trail:

(We caught another lift to go down the rest of the way.)
At over 10,000 feet (about 3000 meters), even in July, there was in spots…

…snow.
One man passing us greeted my [21 year old English] niece with a “Howdy…”
It made her day, she laughed: “Howdy.”
That evening (Tuesday), we reached Jackson:

It’s an INCREDIBLY AFFLUENT and EXPENSIVE city. And also historical. It’s well-worth visiting.
During our trip, my 17 year old English nephew voiced that he wanted to know more about my novels. It turns out the time period 1763-1815 in the US fascinates him, and he loves the musical Hamilton – which I did not know. So just before we headed to Jackson Hole Airport for our flights back here to New York, at our hotel I emailed him a copy of Conventions: The Garden At Paris and told him he was free to read as much of it, or as little of it, as he wanted; there was no exam awaiting him.😂
At Albany Airport, late last night, as we headed off together to retrieve the car from the long-term parking lot, he revealed to me that he had already read “the first 50 pages” on the plane(s).
Have a good day, wherever you are. 🙂
