From Yellowstone

I know I havenโ€™t posted in over a week. I havenโ€™t had a chance. Weโ€™ve been busy:

After arriving in the US with my niece and nephew on July 6, we headed for the Catskills:

Surprise from the Catskills!๐Ÿ˜Šโœˆ๏ธโ›ฐ๐ŸŒฒ Arrived this evening to Zeus-like thunderstorms, drenching humidity, *and* blazing heat (when the sun momentarily appears). ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿฅตโšก๏ธ๐ŸŒจ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐ŸŒŠโ˜”๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ณ Ah, upstate New York in July.๐Ÿ˜ As my 21 yr old niece (who traveled with us from the U.K., along with my 17 yr old nephew) is apt to say: Geez, the weather in this place can be โ€œbiblical.โ€๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Indeed, locusts are soon to follow.๐Ÿ˜‚ . #travel #humor #Catskillsny #upstateNY #NewYork #mountains #evening #scenic #views #trees #clouds #summertime #expats #writers #authors #authorsofinstagram #writersofinsta

The real reason we are here in the US: my niece and nephew wanted to go to Yellowstone Park. Months ago, we said, โ€œSure.โ€

So we flew out here on Tuesday.

At Albany Airport, VERY early, as we approached the bag check, the United Airlines woman asked our destination. Before I could say a word, clearly excited my niece blurted out: โ€œYellowstone!โ€

The woman smiled as I clarified: โ€œChicago, and then Jackson Holeโ€:

And now weโ€™re here at last:

I been posting this and that on Instagram:

Yet regardless, in the back of my mind, I never forget Iโ€™ve got a novel to finish:

Have a good day, wherever you are. ๐Ÿ™‚
